Enrollment Deadline: 24 July 2025
Participants will report percentages of any or all of the specified elements in each sample, including copper (Cu), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni), and tin (Sn). Wet or instrument analysis may be performed for all elements, and a different method may be used for each element. Testing is not conducted in accordance with any particular method, but examples of methods that can be used include ASTM E478 and ISO 4751.
Sample Description: Two solid discs, made from either similar copper-based alloys or different heats of the same alloy. The discs are approximately 35 mm in diameter and 8 mm in thickness, and each sample is pre-tested for homogeneity.
Samples ship in November for a total of one shipment.
Additional Information: Other elements such as molybdenum (Mo), lead (Pb), silicon (Si), aluminum (Al), antimony (Sb), and sulfur (S) vary from cycle to cycle depending on the alloy or alloys used.
This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043.
