Enrollment Deadline: 1 June 2025
Participants will report percentages of any or all of the specified elements in each sample, including titanium (Ti), aluminum (Al), vanadium (V), hydrogen (H), oxygen (O), nitrogen (N), iron (Fe), and carbon (C). Wet or instrument analysis may be performed for all elements, and a different method may be used for each element. Testing is not conducted in accordance with any particular method, but examples of methods that can be used include ASTM E539, ASTM E1409, ASTM E2371, and ASTM E2994.
Sample Description: Two solid discs, made from either similar alloys or different heats of the same alloy. The discs are approximately 35 mm in diameter and 8 mm in thickness, and each sample is pre-tested for homogeneity.
Samples ship in August for a total of one shipment.
Additional Information: Other elements such as chromium (Cr), zirconium (Zr), nickel (Ni), and niobium (Nb) vary from cycle to cycle depending on the alloy or alloys used.
This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043.
