Enrollment Deadline: 1 March 2025
Participants will report percentages of any or all of the specified elements in each sample, including nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr), Iron (Fe), aluminum (Al), silicon (Si), and titanium (Ti). Wet or instrument analysis may be performed for all elements, and a different method may be used for each element. Testing is not conducted in accordance with any particular method, but examples of methods that can be used include ASTM E1019, ASTM E2465, ASTM E2594, and ISO 7530.
Sample Description: Two solid discs, made from either similar nickel-based alloys or two different heats of the same alloy. The discs are approximately 35 mm in diameter and 8 mm in thickness, and each sample is pre-tested for homogeneity.
Samples ship in May for a total of one shipment.
Additional Information: Other elements such as manganese (Mn), molybdenum (Mo), niobium (Nb), and cobalt (Co) vary from cycle to cycle depending on the alloy or alloys used.
This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043.
