Enrollment Deadline: 1 December 2024

Participants will report data for any or all of the following indenter-load types: HK500 (Knoop Indenter with a 500 gf test load), HK200 (Knoop Indenter with a 200 gf test load), or HV500 (Vickers Indenter with a 500 gf test load). Testing is conducted in accordance with ASTM E384.

Sample Description: Two steel test blocks with slightly different hardness values. Each block is pre-tested for homogeneity.

Samples ship in February and August for a total of two shipments.

Additional Information: Samples require surface preparation before testing; laboratories will need to grind and polish the samples according to their standard procedure. The samples may also be cut and mounted.
