Enrollment Deadline: 1 March 2026

Participants will determine the alpha-case depth in five locations along the perimeter of each sample using their normal laboratory procedure.

Sample Description: Two titanium samples cut from round bar, each of slightly different diameters. Diameters are no larger than 0.75" (19 mm), and each sample is pre-tested for homogeneity.

Samples ship in May for a total of one shipment.

Additional Information: Samples require mounting and surface preparation using polishing and etching techniques as described in ASTM E3 and ASTM E407.
