Enrollment Deadline: 1 November 2025

Participants will assess their proficiency in the analysis of buccal samples by means of DNA profiling. Participants may report results for STR/YSTR analyses. This test can be paired with Test 5483/4/5, offered in the second half of the year, to meet FBI QAS test frequency requirements.

Sample Description: Choose between known saliva standards on FTA™ Indicating Micro Cards (Test 5840), Bode Buccal® DNA Collectors (Test 5841), or Swabs (Test 5842). Saliva standards for Tests 5840, 5841, and 5842 are sourced from the same donors and shipped at the same time, and reporting aspects are combined. Different donor sources are used for Test 5843/4/5.

Samples ship in February.

This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043.
