Enrollment Deadline: 15 June 2025
Participants will test samples, collecting quantitative results for breath alcohol concentrations and accompanying expanded uncertainty values. These values will be compared with the reference concentration and uncertainty provided by the dry gas manufacturer using the En metric described in ISO 13528. The linearity of the results for each participant may be illustrated using regression statistics if appropriate.
Sample Description: Four 34 L dry gas cylinders, each containing NIST-traceable reference material.
Samples ship in October.
Additional Information: This test is only open to laboratories in the USA (including D.C., but excluding other territories) and is ideal for laboratories that perform calibration of their breath alcohol instruments, providing them with the opportunity to assess the calibration and linearity of their instruments. Upon publication of the summary report, CTS will supply participants with new labels for the NIST-traceable reference material cylinders so that the samples can be used as calibration standards.
This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043.
