Enrollment Deadline: 15 March 2027

Participants will conduct a physical fit examination and compare fractured, torn, or separated materials to establish whether they were once joined as a single item. This is a cross-discipline test designed for both the firearms/toolmarks and trace evidence communities.

Sample Description: Two sets of samples, each consisting of known and questioned items, including both metal and non-metal substrates.

Samples ship in August.

This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043.
