Participants will compare and identify firearms evidence such as bullets and expended cartridge cases.

Sample Description: Either expended bullets or expended cartridge cases. Samples are different from those used in Test 5262, and the evidence type is alternated yearly between both tests to allow participants to receive both types of firearms evidence in one year by ordering both tests, or to stay with the same test year after year and receive both evidence types every two years.

Samples ship in June.

Additional Information: This test is open to laboratories outside of the USA (including D.C., but excluding other territories), but laboratories must determine if there are any restrictions on importing firearms or ammunition-related components. Participating laboratories are responsible for any additional duties or taxes for importing these materials. Shipments not accepted for delivery or refused entry into a country are destroyed, and any disposal costs will be billed to your laboratory.
