Participants will test in accordance with TAPPI T452, measuring directional brightness in Analysis 3145, then calculating the fuorescent component of the same samples for Analysis 3146 according to appendix C of the method.

Sample Description: Two similar samples, each containing eight pre-conditioned 4.25" by 5.5" sheets of fluorescently-brightened papers.

Samples ship every other month for a total of six shipments beginning with the earliest available cycle of testing. Testing is conducted during January, March, May, July, September, and November, with samples for each test cycle shipping in the month prior.

Additional Information: Laboratories must use an instrument with fluorescence separation capability and be able to calibrate the instrument with a fluorescent paper standard.
