Participants will assess their proficiency in the analysis of buccal samples by means of DNA profiling. Participants may report results for STR/YSTR analyses. This test can be paired with Test 5840/1/2, offered in the first half of the year, to meet FBI QAS test frequency requirements.

Sample Description: Choose between known saliva standards on FTA™ Indicating Micro Cards (Test 5843), Bode Buccal® DNA Collectors (Test 5844), or Swabs (Test 5845). Saliva standards for Tests 5843, 5844, and 5845 are sourced from the same donors and shipped at the same time, and reporting aspects are combined. Different donor sources are used for Test 5840/1/2.

Samples ship in July.

This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043.
