Participants will use their own software and methods to examine staged audio evidence and conduct an investigation to answer questions based on a scripted scenario. Examples of skills covered in this test include making a copy of original media to the hard drive of an analysis system, identifying types of interferences to intelligibility in the signal, and applying filters to increase intelligibility.

Sample Description: A digitally downloadable .zip file containing staged audio evidence.

Digital test materials are made available in September.

Additional Information: Samples for digital testing, as well as response forms for all test formats, are only available on www.cts-portal.com. The information necessary to access the test materials will be provided via email to the primary contact on file on the day of the test release.
